Writer Namita Gokhale has won the Sushila Devi Literature Award for her novel “Things to Leave Behind”. She was awarded in the ‘Best Book of Fiction Written by a Woman Author’ category at the inaugural edition of Bhopal Literature and Art Festival (BLF).

Narendra Modi  was awarded the “first ever” Philip Kotler Presidential Award by the World Marketing Summit India.

This book received The Hindu Young World-Goodbooks Award for Best Book Non-Fiction.

The award has been given for Water Conservation-Diversion and increasing the irrigation capacity in the state. The award was presented to Chhattisgarh Water Resources Department (CWRD) on the occasion ‘World Forestry Day’ (observed on March 21) in New Delhi.This is first time that CWRD was given national Award during the past 17 years.

He is a Canadian mathematician.He wins this prize for his visionary programme ‘connecting representation theory to number theory’. He will receive the award from Norway’s King Harald V at an award ceremony in Oslo in May 2018.

Actor Jackie Shroff’s short film ‘Shunyata’ has won the best film award at 2018 Best of India Short Film Festival at Mack Sennett Studios in Los Angeles, United States on March 3. The 22-minute fiction film directed by Chintan Sarda was selected.In “Shunyata”, Jackie is seen as hitman Madhur, who leads a gloomy existence with regrets. He is friendly with a child, who lives on the street and sees him getting into the world of crime.

She has been felicitated with a “UK Golden Flame Award” for her contribution to Indian cinema.The 70-year-old actress received the award at the opening ceremony of the annual Tongues of Fire UK Asian Film Festival.

The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) was awarded 2017 Kochon Prize for building tradition of excellence in Tuberculosis (TB) research and development. It had emerged winner from among 18 nominations.It was awarded for establishing India TB Research Consortium to accelerate R&D efforts in the country.
